"The class 10 (Madhyamik) exams will be held first and the class 12 (Ucchya Madhyamik) examinations after that," West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee said, as per news agency PTI.

CBSE Board exams
On the other hand,in an important announcement made this week, Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal said that no CBSE board exams will take place before February 2021. A decision over the same will be taken later.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not released the dates of the practical or theory exams yet but has confirmed that the theory exams will be conducted in the written mode this year, despite the pandemic.
Dr. Pokhriyal held a live interaction with teachers on Tuesday to discuss their queries about the upcoming board exams. He also interacted with students regarding entrance exams and online classes earlier.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, schools across the country were closed since March and some states reopened schools from October 15. The board exams were also postponed mid-way in March and students were marked on the basis of an alternative assessment scheme to pass the examination.
However, once again because of resurgence of coronavirus cases several states decided to shut schools.
