Chennai: After war of words broke out between the members of the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers, miscreants vandalised TDP office and cars of TDP leaders in Gannavaram on Monday.
According to ANI, “Unidentified people vandalised the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Gannavaram and set party's General Secretary Koneru Sandeep's car on fire, yesterday, on 20th Feb.”
The video showed miscreants vandalising the TDP party office and a car parked in front of the office. The vandalism continued even after the police tried to stop them. They also set a car on fire.
After the attack, TDP members raised slogans against vandalism.
The TDP members alleged that the damage was caused by YSRCP members and followers of local MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi.
Earlier, war of words broke out after TDP and YSRCP workers argued over the comments made by Vamsi against former CM Chandrababu Naidu and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh.

Supporters of Vamsi were enraged over the criticism of their leader by some TDP leaders. The leaders of the opposition parties had hit back at the MLA after he made a personal attack on TDP President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh, said a report on IANS.
It may be recalled that Vamsi was elected to the Assembly from Gannaveram on a TDP ticket in 2019 but he later defected to the YSR Congress Party.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu on Monday demanded the Governor's intervention into the atrocities being indulged in by the ruling YSRCP leaders.
