It is a common occurrence that parents toss their children in the air to amuse them. Parents do that for one priceless smile of their children. The viral message that is doing the round on the internet suggest something ominous. This method of fun could be hazardous to children, claims the message. What is the reality.


The viral post in question explains how tossing children in the air can damage their tiny brains. The post claims that such an act can damage the brain that can also result in death of the child.

We talked to child specialist Dr Ravi Malik about this. He warned that tossing children could be dangerous as neck of children below the age of 2 is delicate and children can’t control their bodies in the air. Children can sustain internal damage to spine or neck. However, this won’t result in children getting brain dead or dead. This message is half-truth.
