Man Thrashes Muslim Boy For Drinking Water At Temple In UP's Ghaziabad, Arrested After Video Goes Viral

The Uttar Pradesh police have arrested a man in Ghaziabad for allegedly thrashing a Muslim boy who had entered a temple to drink water. The arrest was made after the police noticed a video doing rounds on the social media showing the accused man beating up the boy even as he pleaded for mercy.
According to the reports, the accused man has been identified as Shrungi Yadav, son of Ashwani Kumar Yadav, from Bihar.

In the video, the accused Yadav can be seen asking the boy his and his father's name. Upon learning that he is Muslim, Yadav asked the boy why he had entered the temple, to which the latter replied that he wanted to drink water. Yadav then thrashed him black and blue even as he pleaded for mercy.
Taking immediate cognizance of the, the Ghaziabad Police swung into action and arrested the man. In a Twitter post, the UP police said, "the person who formed the team and beat him up - Shringi Nandan Yadav, son Ashwani Kumar Yadav, resident of Gopalpur Police Station, Bhagalpur, Bihar was arrested and the procedure related to case registration / legal action was made."

The video of the incident has gone viral on the social media triggering outrage among people who condemned the inhuman incident demanding action against the accused. The clip was reportedly first uploaded on an Instagram account named Hindu Ekta Sangh.
