New Delhi: The sixth Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Mohan Bhagwat on Monday visited Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga to attend the Bhasma Aarti in Ujjain during which the ruckus has been reported by the devotees for not allowing them in the temple.
At the same time, due to the visit of Mohan Bhagwat, the Bhasma Aarti of the common devotees was canceled this morning. Due to this, devotees had created a lot of ruckuses late on Sunday night. Devotees said that they were ready to have 'darshan' even after staying for a day, but despite this, the temple administration was not allowing them.
The Mahakaleshwar temple committee had received information about the Sangh chief's participation in the Bhasma Aarti on Sunday itself. Keeping this in mind, the permission of some devotees was also revoked. Ganesh Kumar, the administrator of Mahakaleshwar Temple Committee, has also confirmed the cancellation of permission of some people.
The sources say that keeping in mind the safety of Mohan Bhagwat, fewer devotees were allowed in Bhasma Aarti. Due to the night curfew, the entry in Bhasma Aarti was closed for the last two months, which was recently started by the Mahakal Temple Management Committee. Ujjain Collector Ashish Singh said that at present a limited number of devotees are being given entry in Bhasma Aarti, while there is no response from the authorities regarding the uproar.
Mohan Bhagwat is on a visit to Ujjain for four days from February 19 to February 22. Mohan Bhagwat's meeting with the office bearers of the Sangh was also going on at the ISKCON temple in Ujjain. Meanwhile, the RSS chief was scheduled to inaugurate the new building of Aradhana Bhawan.
