Chennai: A three-year-old toddler who was kidnapped from his house at Ambattur in Chennai on Sunday was traced back to Nagpur railway station within four hours of parents lodging the complaint to Ambattur Estate Police. The Ambattur Estate police alerted the railway police who rescued the child and also arrested two neighbours who kidnapped the child.
According to a report on The Hindu, the parents of the child, Mithelsh (23) and Meera Devi (21), both of them from Bihar, were employees of a private firm and the couple have two children of age 5 and 3 residing on Mariamman Koil street in Pattravakkam.
The couple went to work on Saturday and while returning home they found their three-year-old missing. They started their search and also found that their neighbours from Madhya Pradesh residing in the terrace of their home were also missing.

Hence, Mithelsh lodged a complaint with Ambattur Estate police on Sunday morning and the police launched a search. They collected the details of all the trains bound to the north from the city and found that the two accused from Madhya Pradesh were travelling towards Nagpur with the child. The police immediately alerted the Railway Protection Force in Nagpur and shared images and the details.
Based on the details, the special team of RPF arrested the two accused at Nagpur Railway station and rescued the child. The accused were Shivkumar Noria (22) and Monu Garibdas (25) both from Madhya Pradesh.
The Ambattur Estate police rushed to Nagpur and brought back the child and the accused to Chennai.
