New Delhi: Supreme Court Judge MR Shah has suffered a heart attack in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday and is being airlifted to Delhi for treatment, as reported by news agency ANI. Justice MR Shah's health had deteriorated due to some chest discomfort. According to the report, Chief Justice NV Ramana is in constant touch with the Ministry of Home Affairs to bring him to Delhi for treatment.
"I am stable. There is nothing to worry. I will be reaching Delhi soon. By day after tomorrow, I will be better," said Justice MR Shah in the latest video.

At the same time, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia tweeted, "Hon'ble Justice MR Shah Judge Supreme Court of India has suffered a heart attack while he was in Himachal Pradesh. Arrangements are being made to rush him to Delhi. Praying to God for his speedy recovery."
It is to be known that Justice Shah, 64, had also served in the Gujarat High Court and then became the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court before taking over as the judge of the Supreme Court. He is going to retire on May 15, 2023.
