New Delhi: An incident of stone pelting occurred on Tuesday night between two groups in Maharashtra's Nandurbar district leaving two police personnel injured. According to senior police official, 6 to 7 people have been arrested who started stone pelting. The incident happened after an argument broke out between the two groups however, the exact reason behind the clash was not known. 


Another incident of violence took place in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar where two groups hurled stones at each other and set abalze a few vehicles. Three people were injured during the clashes who are undergoing treatment after being admitted in a hospital. 


Police was deployed in the area after the information of the incident was received and the police said the situation is under control now. 


Following the incident, 19 people were taken into the custody by Ahmednagar Police including 2 to 3 minors. 


As per ABP News sources, initially there was a dispute between two children of two communities, after which both of them called their accomplices and the two groups came in front, after which they started pelting stones and beating each other with wooden bamboo.


The incidents come close to heels with violence that erupted in some parts of the state on Ram Navami including Malad area in Mumbai where two groups pelted stones at each other during a rally. 


On the next day of Ram Navami, an incident of clash between two parties came to the fore in Kiradpura of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra. During this, along with stone pelting, arson was also done from both the sides. People threw stones at the police as well, due to which 10 policemen were injured. 


Apart from this, a similar case came to light in Jalgaon on Saturday, April 1. The police had informed that there was a fight between two parties after an idol was broken here and 12 people were detained in this case.
