Body Of KK Reaches Mumbai Airport From Kolkata

The body of singer KK has reached Mumbai airport. His mortal remains was brought from Kolkata to Mumbai on Air India flight number 773. An ambulance has arrived at the airport, where paperwork is going on presently. Relatives of KK have also reached the airport to collect his body.

KK's Last Rites To Take Place Tomorrow

The dead body of the late singer will reach his Mumbai home tonight. The body will be kept in the hall of his Versova flat for people to offer their final respects.


The last rites will take place tomorrow morning. Several celebrities will be attending his funeral.

Smriti Irani Pays Tribute To KK With A Heartwarming Post

Actor-politician Smriti Irani took to her Instagram to pay her tribute to the iconic singer. Sharing the video of KK's popular and evergreen song 'Pal', she wrote, "Hum rahe na rahe kal ….. har pal , every moment found an emotion in his voice … every memory of my youth is laced with his soothing sounds …. Maestro of the magic of song .. his heartbreak songs leave many heartbroken today … #kk 💔"


 





Body Likely To Come Out Of The Airport After 9pm, Completing All Formalities

After his post-mortem and CM Mamata Bannerjee paying last respects to KK, the body of the deceased singer has left for the airport. The body will be transported through Air India flight no. 773, which will land in Mumbai at around 8:15.


KK's last rites will take place at Versova's 'Muktidhaam' crematorium. 

Gun Salute For KK, CM Mamata Bannerjee Pays Last Respects

Singer KK's dead body was brought from the SSKM hospital to Rabindra Sadan, after his post-mortem. The West Bengal CM and KK's family members paid their last respects at Rabindra Sadan. A gun salute was also accorded to the popular singer.


 





Vishal Bhardwaj Remembers KK As His 'Chota Bhaiya'

Filmmaker, musician and lyricist Vishal Bhardwaj penned an emotional note for KK, fondly remembering the late singer as his 'Chota Bhaiya'. He shared, "Mera chhota Bhaiyaa. Staff At Nazrul Manch Says Crowd Was More Than The Capacity

As per an ANI Tweet, a staff at Nazrul Manch, the place where KK performed last night, said that the crowd was more than the hall's capacity. Shraing visuals from the hall, the ANI tweet quoted the staff saying,"People were more than the capacity, crowd was jumping from the boundary & some broke the gates," M Hussain, staff at Nazrul Manch.


 


 





Shanku Panda, State BJP Spokesperson Makes Allegations Against Organisers

Following the death of popular singer KK, new updates have been starting to do the rounds. Earlier, a fan shared a video of the singer profusely sweating during his performance, and complained about the mismanagement on the organisers' end.


Now, State BJP spoesperson Shanku Panda has made serious allegations against the organisers of the college fest, where KK was performing on Tuesday. As per the BJP leader, the closed auditorium had a capacity of a 1000 people but around 2000 people flooded the hall to watch the singer's performance. 


Also, despite KK complaining about feeling uneasy multiple times, no medical assistance was given to him. The BJP Leader also mentioned that there was no ambulance outside the area of the event. He has demanded serious probe into the matter to find the actual reason behind the singer's death.

Fan Shares Video Of The Concert, Reveals AC Was Not Working

A fan shared on Facebook the condition of the singer at the concert, who was sweating profusely as the AC was not working. The fan went on to reveal the mismanagement at the organisers' end as she shared, "The AC was not working at Nazrul Mancha, he had a performance at the same place yesterday. He did complain yesterday as well, because he was sweating profusely. First of all it's not an open auditorium, and when the venue is charging so much money atleast they should keep a check on their appliances. If you watch the video closely, you can literally see the way he was sweating and brushing off the sweat. He was literally requesting the management to switch on the AC and switch off some of the lights. People literally broke the gates and entered the auditorium without any pass. What was the management doing? Where was the security? Just imagine the heat of Kolkata, and then a closed auditorium with such a big crowd with no AC working and you are singing like crazy at the top of your voice. The heart attack was not normal, I am shocked like shocked. Idk what to say."

KK Death LIVE Updates: Famous Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, passed away in Kolkata on Tuesday night. 


The singer was 53, and survived by his wife and two sons.


KK performed at a concert organised by a college at Nazrul Mancha in south Kolkata for almost an hour on Tuesday evening.


He was "feeling heavy" after reaching his hotel, and soon collapsed, officials told news agency PTI. The singer was taken to Kolkata's CMRI Hospital.


"KK was brought to the hospital around 10 pm. It's unfortunate that we could not treat him," a senior official of the hospital told PTI.


Doctors at the hospital suspect that KK died due to a “cardiac arrest”.


A post-mortem would be conducted on Wednesday to ascertain the exact reason for the death, a senior officer of the Kolkata Police told PTI.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled KK’s death and said he will always be remembered through his songs.


"Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti," the Prime Minister tweeted.


The singer’s wife and sons will reach Kolkata from New Delhi on Wednesday morning.


KK was on a two-day tour to Kolkata and performed at Nazrul Manch in a concert organised by another college on Monday evening as well. The singer was supposed to return to New Delhi on Wednesday.


"I have so many personal memories with him. We started our careers together. He was such a nice and non-controversial person. Life has become so unpredictable and uncertain after the pandemic," a PTI report quoted singer-turned-politician Babul Supriyo as telling reporters after reaching the hospital.


"KK has a big contribution to the advent of rock music in India," Supriyo said.


Some of KK’s popular bollywood numbers include Ankhon Mein Teri (Om Shanti Om), Zara Sa (Jannat), Khuda Jaane (Bachna Ae Hasino) and Tadap Tadap (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam).


He was a versatile singer and had recorded songs in several languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali, among others.
