Earlier, the 1.0-litre and the AMT variants were only available in the top-spec RXT variant, with a price tag of Rs 4.01 lakh and Rs 4.31 lakh, respectively. With this move, the 1.0-litre and the AMT variants have become more affordable and will be accessible to a wider range of customers.
To keep the prices low, the RXL variant leaves out a lot of features. Instead of the 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system present in the RXT variant, the RXL variant has a single-DIN audio player with USB, Bluetooth and AUX inputs. The RXL also lacks many features like front power windows, fog lamps, on-board computer and a remote locking, which are available in the top-spec variant.
The Renault Kwid has been selling like hot cakes since its introduction in 2015. The 1.0-litre and the AMT variant were introduced last year. The car offers an SUV-inspired design, an impressive boot space of 300 litres, and many other first-in-segment features. The 1.0-litre Kwid has a 999cc engine under the hood, which pumps out 68PS of power and 91Nm of torque. It offers a five-speed manual and an optional AMT transmission. While the manual variant has a fuel efficiency of 23.01kmpl, the automatic variant offers 24.04kmpl.
