New Delhi: BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharati who had earlier said that she will skip the ceremony due to Covid fears, will be participating in the Ram Mandir Bhoomi pujan ceremony. She has already reached the Ram Janambhoomi site in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Bharti said that she has been asked to be present at the ceremony by the temple trust members. “Ayodhya has united everyone. Now the people of the country keep hold their head high in pride and say that there’s no discrimination,” BJP leader Uma Bharti, who is present at the Ram Janambhoomi site, was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Bharti had earlier said that she will not be able to attend the ceremony and had insisted that her name be removed from the guest list. She had also said that she be present at the shore of Saryu river during the ceremony.

She had even tweeted about it and said that she is concerned about Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel have also reached the venue. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform 'Bhoomi Poojan' for RamTemple at the site today.
