Several farmer's unions had last week announced that on December 27 when the Prime Minister gives his Mann Ki Baat address, farmers will say 'we are tired of listening to your Mann ki Baat, when will you listen to our Mann ki Baat?' So we will bang utensils so that the voice during the Mann ki Baat address doesn't reach us.

According to the reports, farmers on the day-32 of their protest in the national capital, banged plates and vessels at three spots -- Singhu border, Faridkot in Punjab and Rohtak in BJP-ruled Haryana.

The concept of clanging plates and clapping was first initiated by Prime Minister Modi earlier this year to felicitate the frontline workers battling Coronavirus during the Lockdown.

In today's radio address too, PM Modi referred to the Tali-Thali idea witnessed earlier this year. Besides this, he also honoured the sacrifice of Sikh Gurus and their kin, and talked about his recent visit to Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib saying "On this day, Guru Govind Singh Ji's mother Mata Gujri Ji embraced martyrdom.
