The video was posted four years ago in 2016 on BJP's YouTube channel. The clip showed journalist Matthew Samuels, the CEO of Narada News, posed as a businessman, purportedly offering money to 11 TMC leaders including Mukul Roy and Suvendu Adhikari.

The saffron party had then even organised mass protests across Bengal demanding the resignation of the members caughts taking bribe.

Now that the two leaders have shifted ship from TMC to the BJP, Dhruv Rathee has shared the screenshot of the sting video, taking a dig at the political situation in the poll-bound West Bengal.

In a Twitter post, Rathee said "4 years ago, BJP had posted sting operation of these two politicians caught taking bribes. Both Mukul Roy and Suvendhu Adhikari have now joined BJP happily."

As per the several media reports and claims made on the social media, BJP has now removed the sting operation video from its official YouTube channel.
