New Delhi: A massive blaze broke out in a multi-storeyed residential building in Mumbai’s suburban Vile Parle locality on Sunday night. All the people trapped inside the building have been rescued by the fire-fighting teams at the spot. The fire has been put under control and cooling operations are underway.


The blaze erupted on the seventh and the eighth floors of the 13-storey Labh Shrivali building located in Vile Parle (W) at around 7.10 pm, a Fire official said, adding that it was a level 3 fire.

After a  preliminary assessment of the situation, fire officials had said there is no report of any casualties so far.

He said at least 8-10 fire engines have reached the spot along with water tankers.

Many people were feared trapped inside the building, while the rescue operation was underway. After sveeral hours, all the people were succesfully ejeected out of the building.
