A day after the NIA took over the probe into Mansukh Hiren's death involving suspended Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (ATS) Shivdeep Lande claimed that the sensational death case of Thane-based businessman has been solved who was found dead in a creek on March 5, just days after being summoned by the police in connection with the Antilia bomb scare case.

Taking to his Facebook account on Sunday, DIG Lande in a post written in Hindi said, "The riddle of the very sensitive Mansukh Hiren murder has been solved. I heartily salute to all my ATS police force colleagues who worked day and night to solve this case legally. This case has been one of the most complex cases of my police career."
According to news agency ANI, the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) earlier today arrested suspended Mumbai Police constable Vinayak Shinde and cricket bookie Naresh Dhare in connection with Mansukh Hiren death case. Both the suspects have been remanded to police custody till March 30.
The development has come after the sensitive probe was handed over to central agency NIA under section 8 of the NIA Act which says that any connecting offence related to a scheduled offence already under investigation can also be taken over by the central agency.
It is to be noted that the central probe agency is already investigating the case of an explosive-laden SUV being found near Antilia last month and had arrested encounter specialist Mumbai police officer Sachin Waze in this connection.
Mansukh Hiren Death & Ambani Bomb Scare Case:
A Scorpio with explosives and a threat note was found abandoned near Mukesh Ambani's residence on February 25. Upon investigating the car, it was traced to a Thane-based auto parts dealer Mansukh Hiran who had apparently filed a complaint of missing car on February 17.
To everybody's shock, the Thane-based businessman Mansukh Hiran, who had claimed that the vehicle had been stolen few days back, was found dead in a creek at Thane on March 5. His wife had claimed that her husband had given the SUV to Sachin Vaze, the first investigating officer in the bomb scare case in November, which the officer returned in the first week of February.
Soon the NIA took over the case from the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad last week and arrested Vaze for his alleged role in placing the car Antilia building. According to sources, the arrested police inspector Sachin Vaze told the NIA during the investigation that he was a very small part of the plan and the Shiv Sena leaders named by him played a major role. He also denied using the SUV that was in possession of Hiran.
