The Hector will be offered with both petrol or diesel engines. The petrol unit will be a 1.5-litre turbocharged motor capable of dishing out 143PS. It will be available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. The petrol-manual combo will also get with a 48V mild-hybrid system which increase its fuel efficiency by 1.65kmpl. The diesel engine will be a 2.0-litre unit that produces 170PS. MG will offer the Hector in four different variants: Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. Style will be the base variant, Super and Smart will be the mid-spec variants while Sharp will be the top-spec variant on offer. MG offer quite a few safety features with the Hector, including dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, ESC, traction control and hill-hold control, as standard. The top-spec Sharp variant will get premium kit like a panoramic sunroof, heated ORVMs, rain-sensing wipers, powered tailgate, a 360-degree camera and six airbags.
