New Delhi: A 30-year-old man reportedly died after getting involved in a brawl in Uttar Pradesh's Noida Gardens Galleria mall on Monday night.


According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Ranvijay Singh, the incident occurred at the Lost Lemons restro-bar in the Garden Galleria mall under the Sector 39 police station limits. 


The deceased man was identified as Brajesh, who was from Bihar, the police said.


"A man was killed last night in Garden Galleria Mall, Noida. Some people got into a fight with bar staff during which one person was severely injured. He was taken to hospital, where doctors declared him dead. FIR registered; bar staff taken into custody," said Ranvijay.






"He had gone to the restro-bar with his colleagues for a party. At around 11 pm, an argument broke out between these people and the bar staff over the payment of a bill," Singh said.

The argument escalated into a brawl in a short span of time in which Brajesh was seriously injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital, the police officer added.


The police engaged in the investigation of the case, based on the CCTV footage of the restaurant, identified eight employees who had quarreled and were taken into custody. Police say that further action is being taken in this matter. 


Brajesh was the son of Shrikant Rai, a resident of Hasanpura village in Chhapra. A case has been registered in the local police station regarding this incident in Sector 39 of Noida.
