New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, admitted to the All India Institute of Medical science (AIIMS) in New Delhi last week after he complained of difficulty in breathing and fever, was discharged on Thursday.

Yadav, who remained under the supervision of expert doctors in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), was discharged after his health condition improved, sources said.

The RJD chief after being discharged went to the official residence of his elder daughter and Rajya Sabha member Misa Bharti in Delhi.

As per sources, Yadav’s wife and former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi went to Delhi after his health condition deteriorated.

Talking to reporters at the airport on her way to Delhi, Rabri Devi said that Yadav’s health condition had deteriorated and that he was in the ICU.

She added that the doctors were busy monitoring his situation.

“I will be better informed about the situation once I reach there,” she said.

The RJD chief’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav, who had come to drop his mother at the airport, said that he too would soon go to Delhi.
