Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi met the family members of farmer Lovepreet, who lost his life in the Lakhimpuri Kheri violence. In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi said, "Meeting the family of martyr Lovepreet and shared grief, but till justice is not done, this satyagraha will continue. Won't forget your sacrifice, Lovepreet."
Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi meet families of farmers Lovepreet Singh and Nachhatar Singh, who were killed in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence. Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi and Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel were also present. On Wednesday, the UP administration allowed Rahul and Priyanka to go to Lakhimpur Kheri.
Congress Leader Sachin Pilot's Convoy Was Stopped On Delhi-Lucknow in Nayamatpur on Wedesday. "We are taking them to a guest house for a conversation and will decide what to do next," District Magistrate of Mordabad Shailendra Kumar Singh told media persons.

Rahul Gandhi has left the Lucknow airport. He is going towards Sitapur where he will first meet Priyanka Gandhi and then, from there he will head towards Lakhimpur Kheri.

Rahul Gandhi, with Punjab's chief minister, has been stopped at the Lucknow airport and not being allowed to go to Lakhimpur Kheri in his own car.
The government had earlier given him permission to go to Lakhimpur Kheri. Rahul Gandhi alleges that he was later informed that he can only go to Lakhimpur in a police car.
"We want to go in our car. They (the police) are asking me to come in their own car.
"They are doing some Badmaashi," he added.
MoS Mishra, who told news agency ANI that he is going to be in Delhi "for some work" has arrived at the North Block in the Home Minister's office.

Arvind Kejriwal addressed a press conference on the Lakhimpur violence and demanded resignation from the MoS Home, Ajay Mishra.
"The entire government is helping the killers," Kejriwal said.
Adding that the government should sought a resignation from Mishra, Kejriwal also said, "What is there in Lakhimpur that no one is allowed to go?"
Opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are not allowed to reach Lakhimpur Kheri.
A local journalist Raman Kashyap, 30, was also killed in Lakhimpur on Monday while covering the farmers protests for Sadhana TV.
The Press Council of India has directed the UP Govt to prepare a report on the facts of the case.
Kashyap hailed from the Nighasan area of Lakhimpur Kheri district.

As per our sources, Ashish Mishra, the son of the MoS Home, Ajay Mishra is likely to surrender to the police today in the Lakhimpur violence case.
He is accused of running over and killing four farmers by his SUV car.
"Other parties are being allowed to visit Lakhimpur, but only Congress is being stopped," said Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi: "We do not care about manhandling us, we are talking about the farmers. Our family has trained us to tackle such situations"
"I want to go to Lakhimpur Kheri to understand the ground reality," he said.
"You know how media is controlled in India. Other institutions are also being controlled by the government," Gandhi said.
"Its a clear thing: India was a democracy, now it is a dictatorship," said Rahul Gandhi. "There's a huge loot happening in all sectors"

Gandhi also blamed the media for not asking the "right questions" and "blaming the opposition".
"Three people can travel even during section 144," said Rahul while explaining his plan to visit Lakhimpur.
"Criminals can do anything they want in UP," said Rahul Gandhi citing the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri.
Rahul Gandhi is about to leave for Lakhimpur Kheri to visit the families of the deceased in Lakhimpur violence.
