Chennai: Renowned Sabarimala temple has opened for devotees on Wednesday for Chithira Attavishesha puja. The Sabarimala temple in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district will be opened again on November 15 till January 15, for two months pilgrimage.


The temple on Wednesday would close at 9 pm after the puja and the devotees will be allowed through the virtual queue booking system, informed Travancore Devaswom Board.

The devotees will have to produce a vaccination certificate or a negative RT-PCR report not older than 72 hours, added the Travancore Devaswom board.


Meanwhile, Kerala reported nearly 6,500 fresh Covid cases and 45 fatalities due to the deadly disease.


Due to the Pandemic onset in the state, last year the board has opened the temple doors for Ayyappa Swamy devotees but with some lockdown restrictions.
