New Delhi: A bus skidded off the road in Ramnagar's Uddak area in Jammu & Kashmir, killing two travellers and leaving twenty-five injured critically and are referred to district hospital Udhampur, said Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ramnagar, Bhishm Dubey as quoted by news agency ANI.






Meanwhile, the same accident took place in Rajouri area of Jammu and Kashmir in which three individuals, including army personnel, were killed and two others harmed in discrete street mishaps in Samba, authorities said.

The military jawan, Manpreet Singh (25) of Kathua, died after his private vehicle slipped off the street and tumbled down from a bridge near Veer Bhoomi park in the Samba region, the officials said.


They said the soldier was posted in Srinagar and was on leave since March 26. He was headed to Jammu from his Kathua home when the mishap occurred.


In a different episode, a driver was killed when his vehicle folded down into a deep gorge on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway close to Khooni Nalla in Ramban area, the officials said, adding the body of the deceased was recuperated by police and civilian volunteers and is being identified.


In another incident, Shazia Akhtar (27) of Budhal was killed and her family members Mohammad Ikhlaq and his wife Nazia Kousar were injured when their private car plunged into a gorge at Tralla Rehan in the Rajouri-Kotranka street in Rajouri area, the authorities said.


They said the injured were moved to hospital and their condition was stated to be serious.
