J&K: Indian Army Repatriates Pok Teen Girls Who Had Crossed Over The LOC

Two girls from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) who had crossed the LOC has been repatriated by the Indian Army.

New Delhi: Two girls from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) who had crossed into the Indian side has been repatriated in the morning today. According to reports, 17-year-old Laiba Zabair aged and 13 yeards old Sana Zabair hail from the village Abbasspur, Tehsil Forward Kahuta. They had crossed to the Indian side into the Indian side in Poonch sector early Sunday morning, December 6, 2020.  They have been repatriated from Chakan Da Bagh crossing point today. ALSO READ| Rajasthan Couple Tie Knot In Covid Centre In Full PPE Kit After Bride Tests Corona Positive Even though the Indian troops had detected the crossing, they exercised restrain so that no harm comes to the girls.  Jammu-based defence spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand said in a report by Times Of India "Indian troops deployed at the LoC detected the crossing but exercised complete restraint to prevent any harm to the teenagers." Last month there were reports that India had conducted precision strikes against terrorist launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in retaliation to Pakistan's attempts to disturb peace in India. But the Indian Army Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh on Thursday clarified that the Indian Army has not conducted any action in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He called the news reports fake. Recently, a major terror attack was prevented from happening by Indian security forces in Nagrota, Jammu and Kashmir on November 19. Initial reports indicated the attackers to be members of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a terrorist organization proscribed by the United Nations and several countries.
