Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the youth of the nation was proud of India's traditions and faith. Speaking at a: "Today, the youth of India is proudly embracing its traditions, faith, and beliefs..."


Prime Minister Modi addressed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, March 18, on the Maha Kumbh 2025 and India's cultural consciousness. He described Maha Kumbh as a symbol of the country's power and spiritual consciousness.


PM Modi said that during the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony in Ayodhya last year, we realised how our country is getting ready for the next 1,000 years. He also linked the Maha Kumbh in this context and said that this event strengthens this idea even more.


The PM said that there have been moments in history that have become examples for the coming generations. Just like the spiritual consciousness was awakened during the Bhakti movement, Maha Kumbh is also an event that revives cultural and spiritual consciousness.


Citing the example of Mauritius, he said that when they offered the holy water of Maha Kumbh in the 'Ganga pond' there, there was a festive atmosphere in the whole country. "This shows the spirit of assimilation of our traditions and culture," he said.


PM Modi Thanks People Of Prayagraj And UP For Maha Kumbh Success


PM Modi thanked the people of Prayagraj and Uttar Pradesh for the success of the Maha Kumbh. He said that through the Maha Kumbh, the world saw the greatness of India.


"This event also answered those who doubted India's capabilities. Maha Kumbh is a symbol of national consciousness and it shows that our country can achieve big goals through unity. This was a true display of 'sabka prayas'," he said


Referring to historical events, the Prime Minister said that when Swami Vivekananda delivered the iconic speech in Chicago, Indian culture was hailed. Similarly, the freedom struggle of 1857 and Gandhiji's Dandi march gave a new direction to India, he said.


He also described Maha Kumbh as one such example where crores of devotees gathered without worrying about inconveniences and had a grand view of Indian culture.


He said that when the society feels proud of its heritage, such grand and inspiring pictures emerge as were seen in Maha Kumbh. This event further strengthened the feeling of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat'. He said that in Maha Kumbh, the difference between the big and the small vanished and everyone together felt the power of Indian unity.
