New Delhi: Today marks the second death anniversary of Sushma Swaraj, a former Union minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader, who passed away in Delhi on August 6, 2019. Remembering the veteran leader on her death anniversary, daughter and lawyer Bansuri Swaraj tweeted an emotional post.
Taking to her official Twitter handle, Bansuri said that mother still lives in her as her soul. "Mother, you live in me as my soul. Your conscience guides my decisions and your ideals ignite my life's path. Oh God, you stole the mother, now keep her safe," Bansuri Swaraj tweeted.
Former External Affairs Minister and a senior BJP leader, Sushma Swaraj was one of the most prominent women faces in the Indian Politics. The 67-year-old Swaraj took her last breath at AIIMS in the national capital after suffering a massive heart attack.
Swaraj was called India's 'best-loved politician' by the US daily Wall Street Journal. Quick-witted and articulate, Sushma Swaraj was well regarded in the BJP for her oratorical skills. She also strongly espouses causes such as cow protection which are close to the heart of BJP's ideological mentor Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
