New Delhi: Several leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party have extended their wishes to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on his 50th birthday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted CM Yogi Adityanath and lauded him, saying the state has scaled new heights of progress under his "able" leadership.
A five-time MP from Gorakhpur, Adityanath has made rapid strides in politics after being picked by the BJP leadership as the Uttar Pradesh chief minister in 2017. With him as the chief ministerial face in the 2022 assembly polls, the BJP scored a big win over its rivals, with his image as a tough administrator being seen as a positive, reported ANI.

During his stay in Gorakhpur, President Ram Nath Kovind wished CM Yogi Adityanath on his birthday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Yogi freed the state,”from goondaraj and mafiaraj, and the “state is making new records of progress.”
“Happy Birthday to Chief Minister @myogiadityanath ji. Under the guidance of Modi ji, the way you have given a development-oriented government to Uttar Pradesh by freeing it from goondaraj and mafiaraj, the state is making new records of progress. I pray to God that you stay healthy and live long.”
Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj S Bommai said that under Yogi Adityanath’s leadership “the state is ushering in a new era of peace, prosperity & development”.
“Warm birthday wishes to Uttar Pradesh CM @myogiadityanath Ji. Under your seasoned & dynamic leadership, the state is ushering in a new era of peace, prosperity & development. May God bless you with a long & healthy life to keep serving the people of the state.”
Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami called him the son of Devbhoomi and said that UP “continues to establish new dimensions of sustainable development” under Yogi’s leadership.
He tweeted, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to the son of Devbhoomi and the successful Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri @myogiadityanath ji on his birthday. I pray to Baba Kedar for your health, happiness, and long life. Under your able leadership, Uttar Pradesh continues to establish new dimensions of sustainable development.”
Union Defence Minister also wished the chief minister and tweeted “Happy Birthday to the Chief Minister @myogiadityanath ji, who is engaged with full strength and strategy in the construction of new Uttar Pradesh. For the welfare and development of the people of the state, he is working tirelessly with a dedicated spirit. May God keep them healthy and live long.”
Union Minister Smriti Irani also extended birthday greetings tweeting, “Hearty birthday greetings to the successful CM @myogiadityanath ji, who is constantly striving for the development and prosperity of Uttar Pradesh and a vigorous speaker. I wish you always stay healthy and long and keep progressing the state on the path of progress.”
