New Delhi: Amid speculations of a leadership change in Karnataka, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Friday.
Yediyurappa, however, after the meeting downplayed posers regarding speculations of a leadership change in Karnataka and emphasized that he discussed only development-related issues.
“I don’t know you will have to tell," he said in a sarcastic tone when questioned about the leadership change speculation in Karnataka.

Yediyurappa, who is accompanied by his son Vijayendra during his visit to the national capital, will call on Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday.
Yediyurappa, who is not accompanied by any of his ministers during this visit, had earlier prior to the meeting also downplayed posers on a likely Cabinet rejig in Karnataka.
“I will tell you if any discussion (happens) with seniors over the restructuring or expansion of the Cabinet,” he said.
This comes amid speculations that a section of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have been voicing for unseating Yediyurappa as there have been growing murmurs in this regard within the party’s Karnataka unit since the past few months.

Moreover, some discontented MLAs have made defiant statements against the functioning of the Karnataka government and its leadership.
Yediyurappa had last visited the national capital earlier in January this year when he met Home Minister Shah and BJP president J.P. Nadda.
