Finland is the world's happiest country for the sixth year in a row, an unparalleled achievement in a happiness ranking that has been published for more than a decade. The country ranks "significantly ahead of all other countries" in the World Happiness Report, which the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network released on Monday. Finland is followed in the rankings by Denmark in second place and Iceland in third.

The World Happiness Report, a publication of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, is based on data collected in more than 150 countries from global surveys of people's well-being.

India's Rank In The World Happiness Report:

Although India's ranking has improved from 136 to 125, the country still ranks lower than its neighbours such as Nepal, China, and Bangladesh. Despite having the world's fastest-growing economy, India has consistently ranked low in the index, and some have even questioned how India can rank lower than countries in crisis.

Countries That Ranked Lower In The Report:

According to the report, Taliban-ruled Afghanistan is the least happy of the 137 countries. Lebanon, Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and other countries at the bottom of the list are also included. According to the report, these countries have high levels of corruption and low life expectancy.

Factors On Which The Rankings Are Based:

"Income, health, having someone to rely on, having the freedom to make important life decisions, generosity, and the absence of corruption all play important roles in supporting life evaluations," according to the report.

Life evaluations have remained "remarkably resilient" in general, with global averages during the Covid-19 pandemic years of 2020 to 2022 being as high as those in the previous three years, the report said.

Ranks Of Other Countries:

Israel climbed five places from last year to finish fourth, followed by the Netherlands. The United States was ranked 15th in the ranking, which revealed a large gap between the top and bottom countries. Lebanon and Afghanistan finished last, while Lithuania was one of the biggest gainers, rising more than 30 places since 2017 to rank 20.

Surprisingly, the Russia-Ukraine war caused both countries' rankings to fall. Ukraine is ranked 92nd, while Russia is ranked 72nd.
