BJP, while addressing a press briefing, stated several reasons for the withdrawal of their support.
“Terrorism, violence and radicalisation have risen and fundamental rights of the citizens are under danger in the Kashmir valley. Despite support from the Central govt, PDP failed to control the situation” said BJP leader Ram Madhav while addressing the media.
The move has been welcomed by various parties stating that both BJP and PDP had opposite ideologies and the alliance should have been ended long time ago.
Speaking on the same, Sena MP Sanjay Raut said “"Glad the alliance has ended, it was an anti-national alliance”.
Congress, on the other hand, took a swipe at BJP over the decision. Speaking to media Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said “glad BJP realized its mistake of forming a government with PDP. Since BJP came to power, the state had been heading towards destruction”. He further asserted that Congress won’t extend support to PDP in the state.
