New Delhi: Amidst the speculations regarding Singh going to start his political innings after retirement from the sport, Harbhajan Singh on Saturday clarified that no decision has been taken yet.


Harbhajan Singh, the veteran off-spinner, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Friday, after a 23-year career.


Hinting to join politics, Singh said, "I know politicians from every party. I'll make an announcement beforehand if I'll join any party. Will serve Punjab, maybe via politics or something else."






'With Bhjaji The Shining Star': Navjot Singh Sidhu 


Harbhajan may soon join the Congress party, according to Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu recent tweet. "Picture loaded with possibilities.... With Bhajji the shining star," he tweeted along with a photo of Harbhajan.






When asked about the tweet, Sidhu stated that the image tells it all and is full of potential.


An Indian Express report also stated that Navjot Sidhu was trying to contact Harbhajan Singh to get him to join Congress for the party to gain a strong edge in the Doaba region.


Speculations Of Joining BJP Is False


There were rumours that Harbhajan would join the BJP recently, but he denied them, claiming that the speculations of his joining the saffron party were false.


Harbhajan Singh made his India debut in 1998 and played in 103 Tests, 236 ODIs, and 28 T20Is throughout his 18-year career. The off-spinner was also a member of India's victorious teams at the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the ODI World Cup in 2011.
