The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday slammed the newly formed opposition alliance, named INDIA over its decision to wear 'black' colour clothes to the Parliament and said that moving a no-confidence motion and wearing black clothes will serve no purpose. BJP Minister Pralhad Joshi said that in the future also they will have to roam around wearing only black clothes. He further stated that first the Opposition parties need to have a confidence on each other and they should talk about people's confidence in PM Modi after that.

This comes after all the MPs of the Opposition alliance said that its MP's will wear 'black' colour clothes to the Parliament on Thursday as a mark of protest against the Manipur issue. Hitting back at the Congress, as per its usual attitude, Congress did not consult the other Opposition parties. "PM Modi had said that they (Opposition) can bring No Confidence Motion in 2023 once again. They have come prepared. But there is a little divide there. Congress party, as per its usual attitude, did not consult the other Opposition parties," BJP MP said, as quoted by ANI.

"First, there should be confidence among Opposition parties, among each other. After that, they can talk about people's confidence in PM Modi. People showed this in 2014, 2019 and even in 2024, they will show the credibility of PM Modi. Moving No Confidence Motion and wearing black clothes will serve no purpose," he added.

Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal has said that nothing is going to change no matter what they do, because PM Modi thinks of the development of the country. Meghwal asked that is the Opposition trying to stop the country's progress by protesting in black clothes. "...The country is progressing at a rapid pace.

The opposition is either not liking it or not understanding it. Nothing is going to change no matter what they do, because PM Modi thinks of the development of the country...Do they want to stop the country's progress by protesting in black clothes? Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has a habit of politicising everything even a govt event," Meghwal said.
