After deceased Anjali's friend, Nidhi on Wednesday claimed that she was drunk while driving the scooter, the victim's family on Thursday lashed out at her and stated that "all the allegations of Nidhi are baseless, where was she missing after the accident."

Post the tragic occurrence of a 20-year-old woman being dragged to death by a car surfaced on Sunday, authorities discovered that the victim was not alone. Using CCTV video of the scooter, authorities determined that Anjali was riding with her friend Nidhi. The cops recorded her statement.

Nidhi stated: "She was in a drunken state but insisted on driving the two-wheeler. After being hit by the car, she came under the car, and got dragged with it. I was scared and went away and returned home, didn't tell anything to anyone."

"It is the fault of the girl who was driving in an inebriated state. I insisted to her so much that don't drive, I am conscious, let me drive. She didn't believe me and believed herself," Nidhi added.

After the accident, Nidhi said that she was so startled that she simply left the scene of the accident without reporting it to anybody. The CCTV footage shows that she most likely walked back to her house because it was so near to the scene of the accident.

The five defendants' assertion that they were unaware that the woman got trapped under the automobile was refuted by Nidhi in her statement. According to Nidhi, the defendant purposefully continued driving while Anjali was yelling.
