Kolkata: All PILs submitted to the Calcutta High Court seeking CBI investigation over the fake vaccine racket busted in West Bengal have been turned down by the Court today.

The division bench, headed by Justice IP Mukherjee and Annirudha Ray, while rejecting the petitions, observed that the time was not right for the court to intervene into the matter.

Ever since the fake vaccine camp in Garia was busted by TMC MP Mimi Chakraborty, and ties of accused fraudster Debanjan Deb with the ruling party surfaced, BJP had alleged TMC of severe corruption and grave mishandling of public health.

A PIL was filed by lawyer Sandeepan Das on 25th June, demanding CBI probe into the matter to bring further transparency and accountability in the issue. However, the HC denied to take the petition up for consideration.
