New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra on Wednesday took a fresh jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying the party presented him as a "start-up" but he turned out to be a "non-starter".

The Prime Minister made the remarks during his reply to the debate on the 'Motion of Thanks' to President Droupadi Murmu's address. He spoke in Lok Sabha on Monday.

Referring to Rahul Gandhi as "Yuvraj" Modi said, "Yuvraj was presented as a start-up, but he turned out to be a non-starter, he neither lifts nor launches."

During his Lok Sabha address too, the Prime Minister had targeted Rahul Gandhi, describing him as a "product Congress is trying to launch over and over".

In his speech in Rajya Sabha, the Prime Minister launched a scathing attack at the grand old party saying that this party is outdated in terms of thinking, and therefore they have outsourced their work. "I'm assured that this party is outdated in terms of thinking, and therefore they have outsourced their work. In no time, such a big party which ruled the country is going downhill," the Prime Minister said.

PM Modi also hit out at Congress MP D.K. Suresh over his 'separate nation' remark.

Modi said, "A nation is not just a piece of land for us. For all of us, it is an inspirational unit...If one limb of the body doesn't function, the entire body is considered disabled. Similarly, if one corner of the country is devoid of development, the country cannot become developed...The language that is being spoken today, new narratives are being built out of political selfishness to break the country."

"What can be a bigger misfortune for the country? Such mindset is coming out of a national party. It is unfortunate! Our tax, our money! What language is being used? This is dangerous to the future of the country," he added.

PM Modi also took a jibe at Kharge over his long speech during the debate and used lines from a popular Bollywood song 'Aisa mauka phir kahan milega' to target the Congress leader.

"Mallikarjun Kharge ji spoke in Rajya Sabha for a long time and I was thinking about how he got the chance to speak for a long time and then I realised that two special commanders were not there so he took the advantage of it and I think that Kharge ji must have heard that song 'Aisa mauka phir kaha milega'..," he said.
