Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday replied on the ‘Motion of Thanks’ on the President's address delivered on January 31, the first day of the budget session in Parliament. Continuing his attack on the Congress, PM Modi breathed fire and said that the grand old party, in its greed for power, openly strangled democracy and dissolved democratically elected governments overnight.

"The Congress that, in its greed for power, openly strangled democracy, the Congress that dissolved democratically-elected governments overnight, the Congress that jailed the Constitutional decorum, the Congress that tried to lock up newspapers - that Congress has now acquired the habit to create narratives of breaking the country. This was not enough, now they are making statements about breaking the north and south. And this Congress is lecturing us on democracy and federalism!," PM Modi said.

Some seats were changed last time too, I have heard that many people are looking to change their seats this time as well. I have also heard that many people now want to go to Rajya Sabha instead of Lok Sabha. They are looking for their paths by assessing the situation," he said. Attacking Congress and Rahul Gandhi, the PM said, "Ek hi product baar-baar launch karne ke chakkar mein, Congress ki dukaan tala lagne ki naubat aa gayi hai."
