Baghpat: As intermittent rains continue to lash the Delhi-NCR region over the last few days causing water-logging in several low-lying areas, people are facing a lot of problems.
Residents of Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat in particular are having a harrowing experience as it has become difficult for them to get out of wet roads and railway underpass due to waterlogging.

A similar sight was seen as a Fortuner car, which was coming out of the railway underpass, got stuck in the flooded street in Baghpat.
The video of this incident, which has gone viral on social media and grabbed several eyeballs, is said to be of Jeevana village falling under the Ramala Police Stations limits in Baghpat.
Due to excessive rain and lack of proper drainage system, a high volume of rainwater accumulated inside the underpass.
The Fortuner car can be seen stuck in the middle of the underpass in the viral video. The driver did not know how deep the water was in the underpass and as he was passing through his car started sinking in the water.

The driver somehow managed to survive the catastrophe by climbing on the car's roof. The local villagers were later called for help and they pulled out the car by tying a rope to the tractor.
The incident takes place as the MeT office has forecast widespread to widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy falls till August 27 in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
