New Delhi: Amid the repeated incidents of killings and violence in the valley, a video has gone viral on social media, which claims that a Muslim man, who is from Srinagar is addressing a huge group where mostly Muslims are present is asking the group put the incidents of violence to an end.


In the video, the man can be heard questioning the crowd if Islam permits o provokes people to kill anyone. In the video, the young man can also be seen asking the crowd to oppose ‘Hurriat’ and suggesting that he separatists must end inciting the common man of Kashmir and should promote peace.

The man in the video also called the “police” as “savior” and urged the people to cooperate with the police.

In the 3.5 minute viral video, he further can be heard saying “We stay in India and the Indian democracy gives everyone equal place in the society” and therefore, the Muslim men need not feel neglected.


After probing the matter, it was found that the man in the video was an engineering passout Guptar Chowdhary who is a social activist.

Also, on probing further it was found that the video wasn’t recorded in Srinagar, but was recorded in Jammu’s Rajouri’s district.

After tracing the whereabouts of the person in the video, ABP News reached Guptar Chowdhary, who said that his aim is “to stop spreading of hatred”.

He further told that “it’s time that we stop separatists from spreading violence”.

Hence, the viral video is real.
