New Delhi: While launching an attack at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi broke into a mimicry of the PM. While addressing a gathering, Rahul Gandhi said that Modi refers to the common people as “mitron”but to industrialists like Anil Ambani Modi says “Bhai”.

Copying Modi’s tone and speed of speech, amid cheers from his supporters, Gandhi said: “Mitron Mujhe Pradhan Mantri mat banao, mujhe chowkidar banao”. (Don’t make me Prime Minister, make me watchman).

Rahul then said that the “chowkidar” refers to people as “mitron” but he calls Anil Ambani as “Anil Bhai.”; he addresses fugitives Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi as “Mehul Bhai” and “Nirav Bhai”, but the common people are just his friends.

Gandhi who is on a two-day tour to Madhya Pradesh was addressing a  public meeting in Morena district, said he would desist from opposing Narendra Modi the day the prime minister stopped "dividing" the country and started helping the poor.

"I will stop opposing Narendra Modiji the day he starts helping the shopkeepers, labourers and the poor. The day he stops the work of dividing the country, I will stop opposing Modiji." He said.
