The number of ‘unsavoury’ incidents in Indian skies is increasing and videos of such occurences are going viral on social media. In one such incident, a fight broke out on a Bangkok-Kolkata Thai Smile Airways flight on December 27.
A video of the incident shows three-four passengers thrashing another flyer when the aircraft was mid-air while a flight attendant tried to calm them down.
In the beginning of the video, two men are seen arguing. One of the men can be heard saying “haath neeche kar [put your hands down]”. Within no time, the argument turned into a full-fledged brawl.
As one of the men takes off his spectacles and starts hitting the other person, the former’s friends join him in the attack. The other passenger, however, doesn’t attempt to hit back and merely tries to shield himself from the blows.
The other passengers on the flight call for calm. After some time a flight attendant is successful in breaking up the fight.
In a similar incident earlier this month, a video of an IndiGo air hostess arguing with a passenger on an Istanbul-Delhi flight has gone viral on social media. The argument between the passenger and the crew member reportedly broke out over food choices.
In the video, the crew member can be heard saying, “You are pointing finger at me and yelling at me. My crew is crying because of you. Please try to understand, there is a cart and counted meals are uplifted (on the plane). We can only serve what your boarding."
To this the man asks why she is "yelling" at him. "Because you are yelling at us," she answers.
