New Delhi: Members of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) on Monday blocked railway tracks at Delhi’s Shivaji Bridge railway station in protests against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in connection with the National Herald case. The IYC members also protested against the Centre’s new recruitment scheme for the armed forces, Agnipath.

Congress party members and senior leaders staged protests against ED questioning Rahul Gandhi and the Agnipath scheme at several places in the national capital on Monday. Senior Congress leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot & other Congress leaders and workers staged a sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar while some party workers staged a protest at Delhi’s Connaught Place.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi is supposed to appear before the ED for fourth round of questioning in an alleged money laundering matter in the National Herald case.

Fresh summons were issued by the ED to Rahul Gandhi to join the investigation on Monday after the latter had requested to defer interrogation from June 17 to June 20 citing his mother and party’s interim president Sonia Gandhi’s health condition.
