New Delhi: The accused 200-crore extortionist Sukesh Chandrashekar wished Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez "Valentine's Day" and referred to another actress Nora Fatehi as a "gold digger" on Tuesday, reported Hindustan Times. While being escorted out of the court by officials from the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police, Chandrasekhar wished Fernandes a Happy Valentine’s Day and said all of the allegations he made against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal are true and that he is waiting for a central probe agency to take over the investigation.
Chandrashekhar had accused CM Kejriwal of being a "fraud, conman and thug who does not leave a chance to swindle money that is for the welfare of children's education”. He had also accused the AAP convener of trying to intimidate him.
When asked about his relationship with Fernandez, Chandrashekar replied, "Wish her a happy Valentine's Day from my end."
"When you love someone, you try to protect them," he added. However, he stated that he did not wish to discuss the actress.
Chandrashekar replied, "I don't comment on gold diggers," when asked if he had given Fatehi money.
Fernandez, who has not yet been named as an accused in the case, also appeared in court. She is being investigated for money laundering in connection with the alleged scam.
Recently, Jacqueline appeared before Delhi’s Patiala House Court and made shocking revelations. She revealed, "He introduced himself as the owner of Sun TV and claimed J Jayalalitha was his aunt. Chandrashekhar said he was a big fan, and said I should do films in South India too, and as the owner of Sun TV, they had many projects lined up. We should try to work together in south Indian movies." She also revealed that Sukesh used to call her from jail.
She said, "He never mentioned he was calling from jail or that he was in jail. He used to call from one corner with a curtain and a sofa in the background."
In the past, Chandrasekhar asserted that Fatehi has always been envious of Fernandez. In a press release issued by his lawyers, Anant Malik and AK Singh, Chandrasekhar stated that Jacqueline wanted him to leave Fernandez and start dating her because Fatehi had always brainwashed him against her.
In the meantime, on Tuesday, the Delhi court allowed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to auction 26 vehicles owned by Leena Maria, Chandrashekhar's wife. These vehicles were attached to the case in relation to the 200 crore scam that was allegedly carried out by Chandrashekhar.
