Police said on Friday that two little boys were sleeping in their house in a hamlet in this district when the room caught fire from a candle, news agency PTI reported. According to authorities, the incident occurred on Thursday night in Behda village, which is located in the Bondi police station area. According to police, the two boys, Shani (5) and Satya (7), were asleep when a lit candle stored in the room collapsed and started a fire. When they saw the smoke, they sounded an alert and attempted to put it out.


According to police, both boys were found unresponsive and were brought to a hospital for treatment, but they died on the way.


The incident occurred as the family's head was doing aarti at a Durga Puja pandal near his home, while his wife was sleeping in another room with their infant.


According to Station residence Officer (SHO) Anjani Kumar Rai, the two youngsters perished as a result of a fire in the residence.


The corpses of the two toddlers in police custody have been collected and transported for post-mortem examination.


Rai stated that the situation is being probed.


Three Of Family Die As Cooking Gas Cylinder Catches Fire In UP


Police reported on Friday that three members of a family were murdered after a cooking gas cylinder in their home caught fire. According to them, two members of the family were seriously burned in the incident on Thursday night at Mohalla Gaddi Tola in Ujhani town.


Sukhbir Maurya (35) and his boys — Gopal (8) and Yash (6) — were killed, while his wife and mother were critically injured, according to Senior Superintendent of Police O P Singh.


The deceased were transported for autopsies, while the injured were sent to the Government Medical College for treatment. He stated that the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.


Bhup Singh, Maurya's elder brother who lives on the ground floor of the house, claimed the fire started at 9 p.m.


After the fire started, Maurya's wife called 911. According to Singh, everyone raced upstairs, where Maurya and his boys were confined in a room.


He said that he attempted to remove the cylinder but that it became trapped, causing the fire to spread.
