Dadri Police were left in a state of disarray on Friday after they came across a hospital emergency slip of a 55-year-old patient with details exactly same as that of notorious gangster Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the Kanpur shootout, who was killed in an encounter with Uttar Pradesh police a day after he surrendered himself in Ujjain and was returning to UP under police protection on July 10.

According to a Times of India report, the emergency slip had the details of name, age and birthplace same as that of Dubey and was ironically issued by the Dadri community health centre (CHC) on the day he was killed.

Due to the mystery of the prescription, there was a stir in the OPD of the hospital throughout the day on Friday. Health officials first started investigating the case at their level but eventually sought the intervention of cops.

As quoted by the publication, the officials told that they received a call from Dadri CHC on Friday to enquire about the prescription following which police started investigating the matter and questioned health workers in this regard.

Dadri CHC incharge Amit Kumar reportedly told cops, "We received a call from the Dadri police on Friday and were asked about the slip. We inquired into it and spoke to the ward boy who had issued the slip to the patient concerned. He informed us that a drunkard had arrived at the CHC and given these details after which, he was issued the slip. We have sought a written statement from the ward boy in connection with the same."

No official confirmation of this prescription has been made so far. It remains uncertain whether this development has any relation with Dubey or not.

Dadri police too said that while probe is still in place, "prima facie, it seems to be a case of mischief." However, no one took treatment using that slip, claim officials.
