CM Adityanath left for Delhi from Lucknow at around 1 pm. He is scheduled to meet Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah. According to inputs, he is also likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the PM's residence tomorrow at 11 am.
After that, he will also meet BJP President JP Nadda at 12:30 pm.
Discussion about the upcoming UP assembly election is expected to be held along with talks regarding major political developments in the state.
This 2-day visit to the national capital comes after Jitin Prasada, part of Congress' G23 Dissenters, joined the saffron party on Wednesday in presence of president JP Nadda.
This shift is being seen as a major jolt to Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi as the former Union minister and two-time Lok Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh was considered to be one of the core team members of the Congress.
In this high-level meeting with PM Modi and Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath is likely to discuss the course ahead especially with respect to how the state government's work can be highlighted after dead bodies flowing in river Ganga made international headlines recently.
While Yogi Adityanath is largely supported by the party colleagues who laud his work in the handling of Covid pandemic, a few MPs and MLAs have gone public with their critical views about the situation in UP.
Despite all kinds of responses, at this point, it is clear that Yogi Adityanath will be the CM face for the upcoming polls. Meanwhile, what discussions will be held in the high-level meet - remains to be seen.
