Major Abhijit Singh had asked the hotel staff to stop the music, but they refused and an argument ensued. After the police intervened, the music was eventually stopped. However, in the early hours of the following morning, the Major found his car burning in the portico of his house.

A case has been filed against two staff members of the hotel and four unidentified individuals. The police are currently searching for those involved.

The Hotel Milano Cafe, located near Major Abhijit Singh's residence, was playing loud music late on Sunday night. When Singh asked the hotel staff to stop the music, they refused and an argument ensued. The music was eventually stopped by police intervention.

According to Singh, he returned home and went to sleep after the music stopped. However, at 3:30 am on Monday, he noticed a fire in the portico of his house and saw his car burning. Despite trying to put out the fire, the car was completely destroyed. The DCP stated that Singh was on leave at the time of the incident.

"The Major complained that some youths broke the glass of his car and set it ablaze," he said.

Police and fire brigade immediately reached the spot, and the fire was controlled. "Subsequently, a case was registered at Gomtinagar police station against two hotel staff (named) and four unidentified people, and efforts are on to find them," the DCP added.
