Lucknow: A massive game of inter-party shuffle is taking place in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the Asssembly elections. After 5 MLAs from Congress and Samajwadi party shook hands with Bahaujan Samaj Party on Wednesday, 8 MLAs from various parties will be joining BJP on Thursday.
Three MLAs from Congress and one from SP on Wednesday initiated a new political career in Bahujan Samaj party. This happened a day after BSP stalwart Swamy Prasad Maurya joined the BJP. All 4 MLAs who joined BSP were Muslims
BSP leader Naseemuddin told reporters that Nawab Qazim Ali and Mohammad Muslim, legislators from Swar in Rampur district and Tiloi in Amethi, had joined the BSP unconditionally.
They are likely to get BSP ticket to contest assembly elections due next year.
Dilnawaz Khan, a Congress MLA from Bulandshahr, Samajwadi Party legislator from Budhana (Muzaffarnagar) Nawazish Aalam Khan and former BJP minister Avdesh Verma have also joined the BSP, Naseemuddin said.
