US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti has openly expressed his love for Indian traditions and Bollywood ever since he was appointed in March last year. This time he surprised everyone once again with a bhangra performance on the hit Bollywood song 'Tauba Tauba' during the Diwali celebrations at the US embassy in Delhi on Wednesday, October 30.
The popular Bollywood song 'Tauba Tauba' is from Vicky Kaushal starrer Bad Newz. In a video from the Diwali celebrations at the embassy, the 53-year-old US envoy can be seen dressed in traditional Indian attire. Donning a brown kurta and a pair of shades, the US envoy was seen enjoying as he danced with other officials to the hit song, while the crowd cheered and clapped.
A few days ago, Garcetti also celebrated Durga Puja at Delhi's Chiitaranjan Park. He visited a pandal at CR Park and also tried the traditional Bengali dishes like fish curry, sweets, aloo-chicken biryani, fish curry, and jhaal muri. He even participated in the inconic Dhunuchi Naach, which showcased his interest in the Indian culture and traditions.
Last year, Garcetti had performed to the hit Bollywood song 'Chhaiyya Chhaiya' during the Diwali celebrations at the US embassy. The song featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Malaika Arora grooving on a moving train released in 1998, but remains a hit amongst Indians even now.
