New Delhi: In a shocking incident, the exam paper that was prepared for an academic exercise to choose spokespersons for the Congress's Uttar Pradesh unit, got leaked much before the candidates sat for the test on Thursday. The exam paper was already available to the examinees on the social media as the photograph of the test paper surfaced on WhatsApp.

Since Rahul Gandhi has become the Congress President, the party has been engaged in connecting new and qualified people. Therefore, in a move to bring in professionalism among party leaders, the Congress on Thursday conducted an exam to choose spokespersons for the party.

The party had organized Talent Hunt in Madhya Pradesh for the post of the spokesperson in February this year. Similarly, the same was held in UP for the post of spokesman. Several Congressmen appeared for the written test, which examined their knowledge of current affairs in general and the party in particular. However, the exam paper leak has now made the headline which has brought the examination under controversy.

It has been learnt that some Congress service team worker took the photograph of the question paper and put it on the WhatsApp before the examination, because of which the paper leaked. Although, the examination was held later and all the Congressmen gave the exam.

A total of 14 questions were asked in this examination, which included questions about the number of divisions, districts and blocks in the state, the number of Lok Sabha members that UP sends to Parliament and the total strength of UP Assembly. The results will be released from Delhi in coming days. Following the result declaration, the names of Congress spokespersons for the UP will be announced.
