New Delhi: In the latest political development from Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday has claimed that his helicopter was not allowed to take off for UP’s Muzaffarnagar from Delhi.
The incident took place when Akhilesh was on his way to UP's Muzaffarnagar to take part in some programmes and now he has alleged that there is Bharatiya Janata Party's conspiracy behind this entire incident.
"My helicopter has been stopped in Delhi without any reason. It is not being allowed to go to Muzaffarnagar, while a top BJP leader has just flown from here. This is a desperate conspiracy of the losing BJP. People are understanding everything..." he tweeted in Hindi.
After half an hour, Akhilesh made one more tweet in which he informed that he has got permission to fly. "Abuse of power is a sign of the people losing… This day will also be recorded in the history of socialist struggle! We are going to take a historic flight of victory…," the SP chief said.
On Thursday, SP has released another list of 56 candidates for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections 2022. According to this list, Dara Singh Chauhan, a former minister in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet, will contest from Ghosi.
The Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh will be conducted in seven phases, beginning on February 10.
On February 14, the second phase of the elections will be held, trailed by the third, fourth, and fifth phases on February 20, 24, and 27.
The sixth phase will be conducted on March 3 and 7, and the last phase will be held on March 7.
