Union Minister Sadananda Gowda took to Twitter to inform about the development. "After initial symptoms of COVID19, I got myself tested and the report came positive. I have isolated myself. I request everyone who has come in my contact to be careful and follow the protocol. Stay safe," he wrote.


As per the data revealed by the Union Ministery of Health, the total confirmed Coronavirus cases as of 19 November 2020 are 89,58,483. Recovered patients are 83,83,602 (93.58%), while active cases are 4,43,303 (4.95%) and death toll is 1,31,578 (1.47%).

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has rushed high-level central teams to Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Manipur. The teams will assist in strengthening, containment, surveillance, testing, infection prevention, and efficient clinical management.
