In order to honor a 5-year old Ladakh boy Nawang Namgyal, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on Sunday re-shared his video in which the kid was seen saluting the soldiers, which went viral last month.


The ITBP on November 15, from its official Twitter handle shared the 5-year old LKG student’s “kadak” salute video and captioned it, “Salute! Happy and inspiring again… Nawang Namgyal, the 5 years old student of LKG salutes Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans near a border village in Ladakh.”

Hailing from the border villages in the Ladakh Chushul area, Nawang is a lower kindergarten student. In October, the kindergarten student became an internet sensation, after a video in which the boy was seen saluting the soldiers in Ladakh, wearing the uniform of an ITBP personnel. The enthusiastic and cute boy’s video won the heart of netizens.





In order to honor the little boy, the paramilitary unit shared his video through the official Twitter handle, just a day after Diwali during which PM Modi urged all citizens to light a lamp to salute the soldiers who guard the national borders along with other frontline workers.


PM Modi, this year celebrated his Diwali with the soldiers posted on the western front, in continuing his tradition of celebrating the festival of light with the armed forces of the country.

Upon becoming the PM, he spent his first Diwali in the office with soldiers at Siachen, the world's highest battlefield. He reportedly spent Diwalis in a similar manner when he was Chief Minister of Gujarat.


Meanwhile, Ladakh this year has seen a lot of conflict with the neighboring state china, over the border dispute, and has even led to bloodshed.
